The purpose of this paper is to address an important matter regarding effective teaching strategies applied by teachers in class in order to fulfill MEP objectives for eleventh grade, specifically at Luis Dobles Segreda high school. This research will be relevant when English teachers apply these effective strategies in their classrooms with the aim of helping students to achieve academic success and a proficient English level at the end of their high school years for them to be able to build a better future in the competitive bilingual job market. It can contribute to improve the language proficiency of students and motivate them as much as possible not only in the academic field, but also in their life goals. The purpose of this study is to explore difficulties in listening comprehension of English Language do 11th grade students encounter at the Luis Dobles Segreda High School from August 2020 To March 2021. Listening comprehension is a complex process that acquires great importance for people who are learning a second language, that is why it is important to recognize why students cannot recognize well what is being spoken in front of them and take exercises based on it. From this perspective, it is important to recognize the difficulties in understanding what the teacher is playing in the classroom. In addition to this, students claim to find complications when listening to what they like to hear, like movies, songs and video games. Those factors have an impact on students who have difficulties with listening comprehension in English, thus leading to poor performance and poor expectations of the English language.

This research is about the use of gamification based – task in the virtual classes as pedagogical mediation to enhance weaknesses in English learning in seventh grade students from Centro Educativo Bilingüe Inmaculada Jaco, during the second semester of 2020. The purpose is to know how the games can be used in the learning teaching process in the English foreign language. One major competence for learners in this century is acquiring a second language. Also, the implementation of technology in education gives the opportunity to the teachers use different methodologies as gamification. Based on these aspects, teachers can use this methodology not only to continue the English teaching process but also to motivate their students in the virtual classes, because through different games students can put in practice the four skills in a variety way.

La presente tesis fue realizada con el fin de brindar una solución a la problemática encontrada por la investigadora, al observar que el lenguaje oral en los niños y niñas, se está viendo afectado por diversos factores, afectando el habla en las personas infantes e influyendo en una mala comunicación con las demás personas. Estas dificultades por lo general son tratadas hasta que llegan a una edad mucho mayor como es de los 4 años en adelante, cuando ingresan a la educación formal del país. Es en este punto que los profesionales notan un desfase en su lenguaje y deben remitirlos con los terapeutas de lenguajes, es importante saber que no todas las Instituciones cuentan con este servicio, por lo tanto, no todos pueden acceder a este y los que lo logran, pueden quedar en una lista de espera muy grande, por lo tanto, no siempre reciben atención inmediatamente. De esta necesidad es que nace la tesis, donde la investigadora indaga sobre la información que existe sobre el tema y descubre que han sido temas de las cuales se ha explicado, sin embargo, no las relacionan directamente, lo que permite que se dé un abordaje diferente.
